Plein Air Painting with Randall Graham

Painting outdoors is a great joy, but it comes with challenges. During the course of this class, Randall with guide students with a step by step approach to painting outdoors. All mediums are welcome. Randall typically teaches in oil.

For the most part classes will meet at various locations outdoors. Most of the locations will be around the West Chester area.

The first class on September 20th will meet indoors at Graham Painting Studio in West Chester. This class will include a demo and lecture about the process, set up and compositional considerations of painting outdoors. Classes will also meet indoors if weather is not cooperating a particular day. In that case students will be working from photo references.

Supply List: A canvas or panel for each class. 8”x 10” or 11” x 14” is plenty big Paint - Any paint you already have is good. Email Randall with questions Brushes- what you have is good An outdoor easel Rags or Paper Towels Mineral Spirits or water to clean brushes Sketchbook and Pencil Portable Chair if you like to sit Water to drink A hat, sunscreen and bug spray if you want

Graham Painting Studio is located in the heart of West Chester Pa.  The address is 25 N Walnut St West Chester.  The studio is on the second floor and there is no handicap access. Students will need to pay for parking in West Chester.  There are plenty of places within a short walk to the studio.  More details will be provided upon registration.

Cancellation Policy: If you have already registered for one of our workshops, and you are no longer able to attend, our cancellation policy is as follows:

• Full refund minus a $50 admin fee up to 30 days out of your scheduled training

• 50% refund after that up to two weeks out from the scheduled date

• No refund within 72 hours of workshop
