Scott Noel Workshop - September 14th and 15th
Scott Noel Workshop - September 14th and 15th
Picturing the Figure - Instructor Scott Noel
Saturday September 14th and Sunday September 15th from 10am - 4pm At Graham Painting Studio - 25 N Walnut St West Chester PA
Graham Painting Studio is thrilled to have the masterful artist Scott Noel teach two day workshop. Don’t hesitate to take advantage of this opportunity to absorb Scott’s artistic wisdom and improve your own artistic skills.
The workshop will explore drawing and painting ideas awakened by the figure. The first day will consider drawing concerns that focus on the core of the figure’s presence, emphasizing gesture and mass—and asking if a commitment to contour and silhouette can be delayed or distilled to questions of location rather than outline.
The second day will explore painterly concerns with color and shape while asking how drawing can inform a painter’s interest in color, tonality and the integration of the figure with the space. Both days are fairly open in media. Oil and acrylic, along with pastel and charcoal, are possible choices for both experiences.
The workshop will be held at Graham Painting Studio from 10am - 4pm both September 14th and 15th. Graham Painting Studio is located in the heart of West Chester Pa. The address is 25 N Walnut St West Chester. The studio is located on the second floor and there is no handicap access. Students will need to pay for parking in West Chester. There are plenty of places within a short walk to the studio. More details will be provided upon registration.
